I think it is better to choose solitude and occasionally feel lonely than to force yourself to be social and end up feeling lonely while surrounded by other people.

I chose to cohabitate, but I still whine about dirty dishes left in the sink and too much laundry to fold and being “touched out” 😆 you’re allowed to whine when you want.

Nicely arranged thoughts. It's hard to get the just right amount of solitude and socializing. I liked my Atlantic Hotel days when I could isolate in my studio or go into the commons and see what kind of conversation I could catch. Then I accidently snagged one of the residents and here I am, 35 years later, living with one of them, but now he is retired, at home ALL the time and there is no studio to retreat.
